Is Waverley HIPAA compliant?
We have extensive experience building HIPAA-compliant systems and sign Business Associate Agreements as required. Our engineering practices include PHI encryption at rest and in transit, audit logging, access controls, and breach notification readiness. We do not store PHI in development or test environments.
What healthcare software has Waverley built?
We have built clinical decision support tools, patient engagement platforms, remote patient monitoring systems, medical device software, healthcare data pipelines using HL7 FHIR and HL7 v2, revenue cycle automation, and AI-assisted diagnostic tools. Our work spans hospital systems, digital health startups, and medtech companies.
Can you integrate with EHR systems like Epic or Cerner?
Yes. We have built SMART on FHIR applications that integrate with Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, and Meditech using standard HL7 FHIR R4 APIs. Legacy HL7 v2 integration via interface engines such as Mirth Connect, Rhapsody, and Azure Health Data Services is also within our scope.
How do you handle PHI data security?
PHI is identified and classified at the data model design stage. Encryption uses industry-standard algorithms at rest and TLS in transit. Access controls follow role-based and attribute-based models with the principle of least privilege. All PHI access is audit-logged with user identity, timestamp, and accessed record.
Do you build medical device software?
Yes. We have built FDA-regulated medical device software under IEC 62304 and 21 CFR Part 11. Our process includes risk analysis per ISO 14971, software of unknown provenance management, and documentation sufficient for 510(k) submissions. We work alongside your regulatory affairs team throughout.
