Designed and built from scratch a responsive and user-friendly Macintosh client for the innovative digital content protection provider. Waverley team quickly integrated with the client’s engineering capabilities and become an important part of future engineering efforts.
is a developer of digital content protection products for the home and small business markets. The Mirra Personal Server is an easy-to-use backup server designed for home and small business professionals who need a simple and affordable way to protect, remotely access, and share their important digital files.
Mirra enjoyed great success with their Personal Server, but many customers required support for Macintosh computers as well. They also recognized that the market for backup required solutions that were multi-platform. Mirra needed to devote a fairly large team of experts that could be effective immediately, and at the same time be very cost-effective. Lacking expertise in Macintosh product development, Mirra also needed help in designing the product to create a great user experience.
Waverley architects and engineers designed a complete product solution from scratch that took the best of the current Mirra Windows Client product, and went much further. A new architecture, user interface, and features provided better performance, functionality, quality, and user experience for Macintosh users. The Waverley team operated as a complete development and quality group within the existing Mirra engineering group. Our seamless team extension is now an important part of future engineering efforts at Mirra.
